Legend of Saint George says that in a city of Libya, there was a dragon, who was calmed by being fed two sheep a day; when these failed, one of the people was offered by lottery. One day the "winner" was the King's daughter. George appeared and killed the dragon with his spear.

On Saint George's day, April 23rd, 1616 two of the greatest writers died. Shakespeare and Cervantes, who wrote "Don Quixote". Unesco declared April 23rd as the International Day of the Book.
