Beautiful picture. Everything's great, the glittering snow, the trees, and the sky. One thing though, IMHO, a bit of cleaning on the top left corner of the frame specially to remove the darke stain will improve the sky.

This is a truly remarkable photo in that you have tamed the brightness of sun and snow in a way that we can fully appreciate the mood of being out in that field. As an avid snowshoer myself, I have often seen those diamond-like flakes on the snow and the long dark shadows of isolated trees.

Joli coup ! J'imagine une exposition manuelle, avec le soleil dans le CCD et la neige, non ? Ou le Dimage 7i ferait-il des miracles en auto ? En tout cas, magnifique exposition, ainsi que cadrage. J'essaie d'imaginer comment éviter d'avoir l'horizon centré : peut-être un poil plus bas, mais il aurait manqué de la longueur des traces de pas, donc rien à dire !

Tout le monde l'a déjà dit, vraiment belle photo, la texture de la neige est étonnante, et le cadrage est parfait.

Comme on est là aussi pour critiquer (niark niark :) j'ai cherché la petite bête, et je l'ai trouvée: le "flare" crée sur la neige un reflet légèrement vert/jaune, et une toute petite édition (désaturation ?) pourrait corriger ce léger défaut.
Mais c'est pour pinailler :)


Je suis étonné de ce beau soleil en étoile, je n'ai jamais réussi à obtenir ca avec mon compact (CP4500), meme en fermant à fond...

Superbe photo! De la chance pour le ciel bleu et la neige immaculée, mais le reste dépend du photographe : bon cadrage (j'aime particulièrement la trace du marcheur débutant dans le coin inférieur droit), l'idée d'une marche infinie (c'est comme ça que moi je le sents), la gestion du contre jour et de la lumière... superbe!

Just one thing go easy on the sharpness i think it would look better a bit softer. but still a great shot.
