Oriental Switzerland? Photo

Photographer’s Note

I don`t know if it`s ok for TE to post such a picture...because this is a photo of our parlour...so excuse me for that. But I found this picture quite interesting for Trekearth. Just to give you an insight to life of a foreign (Kurdish) family in modern Switzerland. The carpets are hand-made gifts which we brought to Switzerland when we migrated to here.
So you see, Switzerland has got a lot of faces. I hope you like its Oriental one.

I think this photo fits to "Trek Earth" - because the main aim of TE is to "learn about the world". And it might be interesting how an immigrant family in Switzerland lives - even though it´s your own.

I like the black/white technique for this photo. Perhaps the motion of the woman´s hand is not so good.

the interesting thing about oriental homes is that they contain many things that would be considered kitschy in germany (or switzerland) but the composition of so called "kitschy" items make these homes special and cosy. I like your living room :)
