Hallo Barbara!
Du hast mich tiemlich an der Nase herumgeführt mit diesem Titel.
Schöne minimalistische Kompo mit toller Tiefe dand der Pfosten und deren Schatten.
Mal schaun was Deine blau/weiße Phase noch so hervorbringt.
Gruß,Leo

It's hard to tell what this is; a beach, a building? Who cares, I like the ambiguity.
I like how you have the dividing line between the white area and the sky running through the centre of the frame, and the diagonal line of the wooden posts gives depth to what would otherwise have been a very one dimensional image.
Excellent work Barbara.
Cheers,
Ben

Hello Barbara -
I like this image. It is simple and there is wonderful contrast between the sky and the snow while the tops of the fence posts add interest and lead us into the image. But, and I think it is just me, the center composition is not working A bit more sky - move the horizon down a bit - would make this image stronger. Like I said just my opinion for what it's worth. Bravo, well done!
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Barbara,
Beautiful in its own simplicity these fence post working their way up along this white-blue carpet all the way to the wonderful blue horizon and then off to who knows where. Excellent job.

Hi Barbara, yesss ! This one is very good :)))
I do prefer this one to the previous one i commented, even more powerfull and graphical, beautiful sky above a white snowy foreground and the beginning of a perspective created by those wood
Excellent :)

Barbara,
you're so right: white isn't white. The best proof is your own "white phase". Another fantastic shot and the title is really appropriate to explore the white and blue, although the temperatures in Mykonos NEVER would allow similar image!
Very artistic - a real Kehl!

Hello Barbara,
Cette photo est d'une simplicité certe, mais sans ton oeil de photographe, il n'y aurait pas de photo, et donc pas d'émotion.Bravo pour ce partage.

hi barbara,
i so much like this kind of minimalistic, almost empty images .... they are so relaxing visually: and this perfect "mykonos white" be it sand, stone, snow or any 'similarly' textured structure so effectively contrast with the blue of the sky giving the well known white/blue pair!
very well seen!
thank you and have a very happy Easter (if you're celebrating it, of course!)

This is really excellent, Barbara! It's of course very minimalist and graphic, but it also has a feel of mystery--where do the posts lead? What is over the hill? The cloud on the right balances the fact the posts are toward the left. Two small suggestions that might make a great shot even better--first, the snow is too blue (a little would be OK.) Second, the horizon is rather centered--maybe crop from the top and right to raise it while keeping the same basic composition. I really like the present form, but I can't resist conveying those little ideas. Regards, Ken.

Ciao Barbara, je trouve ta composition excellente avec cette rangée de piquets en diagonale. Pour la critique je trouve le blanc un peu trop bleu. Ciao amicalement/jr

Hi barbara,
fantastic shot! I love the uber simplicity here, compositionally and colorwise. You even divided the frame in half to undescore it. The simpliciy is nicely broken by the shadows and posts

Hello Barbara
A very artistic shot...yes as you rightly said, this white isn't really white..and the division of the frame in half with the posts running into the horizon. Well see & a great idea for a shot

Hi Barbara,
Absolutely fascinating, strong blue complemented by the white. The wooden posts provide a wonderful perspective. Simple framing does justice to this gorgeous composition.

Hi Barbara,
A simple composition but with a great result, I like the contrast between the blue colour and the white, the trunks nailed in the snow create a good depth in the scene, I believe that the image slightly is sobreexposed, by that reason the snow is lost part of its texture. Interesting work.

José

Hello Barbara! Having been to Mykonos, the title on this one caught my eye. And you are right, your whites are as dazzling as those of the white cube houses! The interesting minimalistic composition creates a very stunning image here. Very good with the exposure maintaining some texture in the snow.
Very well done!

Hi Barbara,
This is a very simple and effective photo! I thought it was snow I was looking at until your note. The implied line of the posts works so well and is at an effective angle. Well done!

Hi Barbara,
it's very hard to expose the snow as perfectly as you've done here, most people normally end up with a blue tint but this is exceptional and it contrasts so well with the lovely blue sky. It's a simple yet lovely capture and one for my theme, TE Moments.
Kind regards and I wish you a very happy festive season,
Stephen

Bonjour Barbara,
Souvent les choses simples nous délivrent des secrets qu'il faut savoir regarder.
Bravo, c'est bien vu et extrêmement bien mis en scène!
Often the simple things deliver us secrets but it is necessary to sea it.
Bravo, it is well seen and extremely well staged!

hi Barbara :)
I followed the link from your "red poles" photo, and I like a lot what I see here :) the gray wooden poles perfectly lead the eye into the white eternity, so peaceful, so elegant. love how you played with the title - on the one hand, it fits the photo perfectly, on the other hand it's difficult to find a more striking contrast that that of the snow and an image of Greece. as in the other photo - excellent light management, the white is pure white. nice one :)
with best regards,
Kristine
