Hi Stefano,

Very distinctive shadow of a backpacker, well seen and caught. He seems to look at a camera as well, so maybe you are somewhere on a gallery :-D)...

The door, wheter carefully chosen or a lucky shot, do a tremendous job to convey character in the image. The cobblestoned street is also a nice added value. So it’s not any tourist, on any door, on any strret and the combo of the important elements deliver great visual impact.

The strong light has brought out the texture of this chocolatey brown wooden door to great effect, but of course it's that shadow that gives this shot it's impact. His hunched pose seems vaguely threatening, with what could almost be his Nosferatu style talons extended in front of him.
Great stuff.

Indeed a backpack, cut legs and shadow coming from an angle can make anyone looking a gnome. Fun and well seen. It's also interesting to note a keypad lock on a beautiful old door.

Nice, ambigious, capture here - a creation of atmoshpere where, paerhaps, none really exisits. Like all the best photogarphs - an illusion.

Hi Stefano,

I have to comment on this one as well. Going through your gallery, looking for a night shot, I saw this one passing by as well. Wood is such a wonderful material! Just look at the detail in the wood and the stones on the ground. Just so nice to see such detail in those natural materials!
The shadow of the tourist - looking at his camera I guess - is just completing it. Also an interesting contrast to see an intercom in such an antique door. Nice work!!
