I was passing through Zurich on my way back from Eastern Europe. (Technically, I was only changing planes, but I had arranged it to have 18 hours between planes, so I got to see Zurich overnight.) Even though it was early evening (7:40 if I read this clock right - and there are clocks ALL OVER Zurich), there was still plenty of daylight. This image of the church spire picking up a bit of Abendsonnenschein (a lovely word from Heine's Die Lorelei) and the lamppost next to it caught my eye.

Technical: Kodachrome, digitized. Bit of sharpening and noise reduction.

Hello Daniel,

This is very specially with the dark silhouette of the church tower.
This gives a excellent effect and contrasted against the clear sky, but the lantern is the real eye catcher.
