Amazing!. how can you get those colours in the clouds and at the same time full details on ground?
The colours seem like midday, but the cloud is sunset time... really incredible management of light and colours.

Net een sprookje, met een lekkere compo en mooie verzadigde kleuren. De kleur van de wolken vind ik net iets over the top. Gezien het tijdstip van de dag vermoed ik hier een filter? Had voor mij iets minder gemogen :-)))) Ondanks dat een hele fijne plaat.

I suddenly want to be the inhabitant of Dallenwil, so I can resopond to anyone going on about how rock star this and prince that visited their place "oh, that's nice. but has Henk Meijer photographed your village? no? ..." :))
I am sure those from Dallenwil would be absolutely delighted to see this photo, as previous comentator has put it - looks like painting of paradise. amazing green colour, it has both the yellow cast of the late afternoon, but also reflection of that pink cloud, and I like a lot the result. simplicity of composition brought to perfection, love those two red houses on the hill. superb shot, my compliments.

G'Day Henk,

Here you show not the mountains that this nation is famous for but some of the rolling countryside which is an aspect that we tend to see less off. It is not the average tourist shot, that is for sure! To the viewer, you can tell that planning and patience went into the construction of this photo. It would have worked nicely with a uniform blue sky, but is further enhanced by the inclusion of that soft bank of pinkish cloud. My favorite part is where the lime green grass mixes with gold in the lower left hand side. The cluster of houses/church gives the piece a focal point of interest to base the remainder of the scene around. To finish off, it is presented immaculately with this white frame. mooi licht, goede kleuren, uitstekende scherpte, persoonlijk zou ik hen iets croppen aan de rechter kant, maar dat is dus persoonlijk, het komt op mij een beetje onnatuurlijk over, maar dat zal wel aan mijn ogen liggen, de operatie is pas uitgevoerd.

Hi Henk,

The Floyd in you was very happy to see this Pink thing in the sky...

Strange phenomena that doesn't blend naturally with the rest of the light from the scene, but that's surely why you've decided to shoot it, as it isn't your regular white puffy cloud.

Although this vapourous floating patch is very eye-catching, the vibrant landscape is still the most attractive part of the shot, for me at least. I like very much to see these green moguls, spread with photogenic trees. The tiny red house is a great detail that stands out from this landscape.

fantastic colors... especially, the sunlit green on the slopes complemented by the flower patches. and the red building fasades: a treat for the eyes. a perfect pastoral scene all around.

Deze beeld lijk sur-real met de rose wolk tegen de super blauwe lucht. De kleuren zijn zo mooi en doordrenkt, dit zou uit tellytubby land kunnen zijn. De rode huisjes contrasteren met de intense groene kleur van het grass, en maaken de foto. Schitterend werk!

Hey Henk,

I got 2 minutes before my first lesson of the day starts and I told myself I'd wait till it was over and I had a 2 hour break before I would start commenting on TE but this one was too good to wait. This is as good of a picture as I have seen you post on TE. The greens have nice warm light and there is so many different shades of it from the shadows and highlights on the rolling hills. The little houses are perched nicely atop the hill and I like the red color. I might have prefered just one house to give the "little house on the prairie" feel but I bet its hard to find one house by itself in Europe. The other thing that I loved about this shot was the rose colored clouds. Usually your clouds are so white and pretty so this is different from you and its a nice surprise. A really really nice shot.

I see you've coloured your cloud Canon, grrrrr. Are you sure it wasn't originally yellow. As you don't allow ws, I can't change it. Anyway it goes well with the almost over-saturated landscape and sky. If anyone tells me that I push the button too far (JY for example ;-) ) mine's nothing compared to yours. I like it.

I think you will get some angry mails from them, that you discovered the beauty of their village ;-) I love those strong colours and the clarity. And I am pretty sure that Pablo was here before because of the red barn. The cloud, yes, very easy, is a fine peace of heaven. Great moment of light. Therefore the three layers in different colours of green, blue and orange play very good together.

What an amazing feeling. These red houses seem so small on top of the green hills. Colours are fantastic with such a wonderful light on the grass and vegetation. I love the clouds. A true gem!

Where on earth is Dallenwil and how the hell did you find this corner? And thank you for showing some other places on planet Switzerland, and I guess they will not sue you for showing their village as I am pretty sure they would love to do some additonal business etc. etc. etc. Toll, Henk, wieder dieses giftige Gruen und ich sehe die ersten Zeichen von Herbst mit etwas Gelb an den Baeumen, aber auch in der Wiese. Das Rosa am Himmel ist wirklich sehr speziell und macht Dein Bild weich und nimmt den starken Farben etwas Gewicht weg - im positiven Sinn natuerlich - und macht einen stink normalen Huegel zu einer magischen Ecke. Ganz ganz toll ... ich lieeeeeeeebe es ... I love Dallenwil :) Barbara.

Wow, what colours! The brightness and vividness of the colour is what immediately gets my attention. The landscape seems so perfect, like it is a model or something. I even had to look twice to make sure this was real! That cloud at the top is very important and adds a lot to the scene. Well done!

Prachtig landschap met zulke frisse, heldere kleuren. De twee belangrijkste kleuren, blauw en groen zijn bijzonder sterk. Prettig licht ook, geeft ook nog eens die warme kleur aan die wolk, die haast een soort van dromerige sfeer aan de foto meegeeft. Erg mooie foto!

How do you find these amazing scenes?! The blistering sharpness of that Canon 70-200 F/2.8 lens of yours is incredible. One of the great lenses made today for sure. Fantastic shot and not the type of scene that I would normally affiliate with Switzerland. It looks more like an Iowa farm scene. This is fabulous work with your usual exquisite composition and exceptional standards of excellence!

Rather unusual combination of colors. Pinkish clouds make me think that this is very early or late in the day, yet the greens are so vibrant. I can tell from the shadows that this was shot around mid-day, am I right? In any event, a rather appealing photograph with terrific composition. Let's not forget the red houses... Very nice. De afstand is zeer groot, maar toch een behoorlijk goede scherpte, de wolk heeft een zeer speciale belichting, maar dat zal wel zo zijn in Zwitserland.
Kwalitatief is geen dicussie mogelijk, het is opnieuw een stukje kunstwerk van jou Henk.

Beautiful, very beautiful. I love that orange cloud. Makes me dream of my own pictures. :) The blue sky bellow is perfect. The hues and the cleanness of it makes me thing that you really captured this perfectly. Light on the green fields is also very good. A great scene and a perfect exposure. Lovely composition.
The color of the clouds is eyecatching.
If I may, there is two little things that bothered me a bit.
The first is the placement of the house, which I find a little bit too centered on the horizon. A personnal point of view only.
The second might be from my computer screen, but the green of the grass does not look natural to me, too much yellow in it.

I imagined your joy at seing the light appearing finally at the end of the day, as you happen to go through a beautiful sttings.
