Photographer's Note

Geneva is the second most populous city in Switzerland (after Zürich), and is the most populous city of Romandy (the French-speaking part of Switzerland). It is situated where the Rhône River exits Lake Geneva at the south-western end of Lake Geneva. It is surrounded by two mountain chains, the Alps and the Jura and is the capital of the Canton of Geneva. Last year I spent a few hours there and all I can say, as of almost every place I know, is that is marvellous. One of the main attractions of Geneva is the famous Jet d’eau spouting 140 meters in the air. Here in the background. In first term we can see the "Henry Dunant" a ship commissioned in 1963 with a capacity of 700 passengers. Named after the founder of the Red Cross. It belongs to Compagnie Générale de Navigation sur le lac Léman.
