Photographer's Note
...
Maybe I'm passing you by
Just passing you by girl
I'm passing you by
On my way
On my way
I'm just passing you by
But don't be confused
One day I'll be coming for you...
I must see the beekeeper
I must see the beekeeper
* * *
Taken at night without a tripod, the photo lacked sharpness, but I didn't mind as I had already intended to give it some blur and grain. I converted the original to bw and added some grain.
* * *
This is for my dear F., who herself is a beekeper.

Merhaba Fusun:
Very beautiful street scene. Looks like an old parisioan postcard from the 1920s. There is a very nostalgic aura to the scene.
Nicely done

Hello Fusun,
Film Noir, that's what it is. That toning brings it all out and makes from this digital picture an early 50s picture with a wonderful atmosphere. Great timing here, but als the post-processing is remarkable...very good, i like it a lot.
Have a nice weekend, Henk

Hello Fusun.
Great shot,I like the almost B&W tone you give to the picture, and I think the blur and the grain work very well here giving to the shot a different touch. The girl is totally immersed in the dreamland scene, and the composition is great too,I find all the elements in its place, all is well-balanced in the shot.Very good work here, congratulations.

Sonsoles.

Hi Fusun, this photo is full of poetry and I find it very beautiful, however I don't quite understand the note, are you talking literally of a beekeeper or is it an English expression that I don't know ? I whish we had a bit more explanations, however it is a great photo,
Tebrikler, ellinize saglik !
Sevgilerimle,
Cath.

Merhaba Füsun,
A good way to rescue a somewhat spoiled photo opportunity, your PP is good and it now looks like a scene from the late 40's or 50's.
Have a nice week end JY

Fusun,
I would not have guessed that this is a night shot. My first impression here was a day light shot with a PP to render that 50's or 60's quality with a lot of grain that provides a huge charm to this photograph. Lovely composition!

The grain is interesting and works with the BW in this case , giving it a pleasdant vintage appearance, I also like the clean horizontal geometry and the symmetry of the window.

I am with Cath about the "beekeeper"... not too sure what it means except... as someone who keeps bees for their honey. Maybe she is waiting for her "honey". :)
Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Because I like the photo with or without beekeeper. To add grains is not necessarily an easy and well-done task, but I think you really made it here. It's not too obvious like it is often the case in digital, and it gives a nice old-time feel quality to the photo. The setting is perfect for that too, the flower pots, the old window shutters, and even the cropped bicycle. And she has a charming posture.
A good one Fusun, no doubt.
