[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Steam excursion train in Ruinaulta or Rhine Canyon going upstream of the young Rhine river to Surselva valley. As you see I wasn't the only one leaning out of the window to get some landscape shots.

This railway line of Rhätische Bahn was opened in 1903 to Ilanz and extended 1912 to Disentis.

Nice composition for this beautiful place karj , the train inclusion make yor shot more interesting , I would have increased a bit luninosity of train area , well done.
Stefano.

I like the scene and the way you have composed it wonderfully well. Nice terrain and landscape and a lovely note

I liked the overall composition Kari, you have framed it well too.TFS.

Pinakie

Kari,
This looks like my kind of trip, I love old trains!
Your composition is great showing the curving river as well as the remainder of the train. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The mountain slope creates a nice diagonal that leads the eye through the shot.
TFS,
Asa

I've driven along the scary road at the top of the gorge a few times but so far haven't seen it from this angle. It must be even more spectacular!

One of the great train journeys of the world.

Hi Kari! Look at all the photographers... they're all taking a picture on the opposite direction!!!! There must be something there!!!
But you got it right, you gathered the beauty of the landscape, the train and them... the tourists! Great picture! Very well thought!
TFS - Congratulations!
Warmest regards,
Neyvan

Hi Kari,
I do like the way you captured the curve of the train along the curve of the river. The sunlight and shadows add depth and drama; especially in the rocks. The clouds are like icing on the cake.

This looks like a great trip. Trains and boats are my favorite way to travel. I regularly take the train to my folk's house. it runs along the coast and allows me to avoid the LA traffic.

HLJ, Pat

Hi Kari

Ha ha, great to photograph photographers enjoying their sport. Its a great view too. Well composed and not that easy to take. I recently did the TransAlpine train trip in New Zealand. Superb train trip, but very hard to get shots, a very bumpy ride.

Hi Kari,
It makes me smile to see all those photographers outside the windows ... more so with the train subject coming from you. I have never seen so many cameras outside the train windows all at once. A great landscape shot too with pleasing blue green creamy colors. Regards. Latiff.

Hi Kari,
Though I've seen many photos of this place, I've never actually visited this part of Switzerland. This canyon seems awesome! Through your photo I now discover that one can visit it by train and this seems like a pleasant solution to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Nice compo with the train leading our eye into the picture towards the cliffs in the bachground.
Cheers.
Bibi
