Ein schönes Architekturbild,gut gestaltet mit der Diagonale der Treppe.Schönes Spiel mit Licht und Schatten und mir gefällt das Fenster(oder besser Lüftungsschlitz)das die symetriy bricht.

Hi Frank. Very interesting photograph, very unFrank like, but very artful. This one is very simple, graphical, two tone composition with almost shocking diagonal composition. I like it, good note - one question though - what is the purpose of the small opening in the wall? Is it the shooting slit?

Hello Frank,
A good capture of these old stone stairs, which would also make for an interesting study in black and white. I like the light and shadow contrasts and the textures in the stonework are well rendered. Thanks for sharing.

un angle de prise de vue inhabituel, on voit plus le dessous des marches! mais c'est une très bonne idée qui nous montre bien la rusticité de cette construction; les contre-marches semblent avoir été posées postérieurement aux pierres des marches (elles sont en simples briques il me semble)
le contraste ombre et lumière est beau et la qualité de la photo nous permet aussi d'apprécier toute la texture du mur.
tout cça pour dire simplement : un beau cliché!

Ciao Frank :) Und noch so was Steiniges, das mir sehr gut gefaellt, und ich finde Deine Detailarbeit sehr gut gelungen, und tatsaechlich koennte man den Versuch wagen und das Ganze in schwarzweiss tauchen lassen, muss aber nicht sein. Man muss einfach den Blick aufs Einfache wagen und das Detail herausheben, und dann kommen spannende Bilder heraus. Ich vergess das immer wieder, aber darum sind wir ja u.a. hier, damit wir den Blick schaerfen. Interessante Sache. Gruss ... Barbara.

hello Frank,
I've always enjoyed photos of architectural details, so it's no surprise that I like this one :) the strong emphasis on diagonal works very well to help the eye travel through the photo, and I like a lot how the simple composition focuses attention on the textures. the old wall seems soaked with sun, I like that a lot. very nice work, my compliments.
