Geometry of Modern Architecture Photo

Photographer’s Note

Although there is mostly old architecture in my photos, I like modern design as well. In this picture I would like to show a fragment of ceiling, which I have seen in the «Equator» hypermarket nearby my house in the quarters of Northern Saltivka (one of dormitory areas of Kharkiv city).

I think that in this case the rectilinearity of the skylight constructions is successfully softened by the spheres. They are not a part of Xmas decoration but elements of interior.

Hi Sergiy,
Interesting decorations, my first impression was of Christmas but when I read your note, I realised this was not the case. Actually, they look like planets in the universe...

But it is really look like christmas decorations, good idea to capture decoration on the ceiling, I believe I see the blue sky through the transparent roof top, thanks for sharing.

What an interesting piece of architecture. The thread by which they hang are not that visible so it gives a little mystery to the overall image. Good DOF and well exposed.
