Hi Beverley,
This to me seems "postcard perfect".....providing someone like myself, who has not visited Devon, a excellent reflection of the some of the history that is very much part of England. By including the foreground wall, you've created nice depth to the image, and the inclusion of the green grass, adds much needed colour contrast to the old stone work. Very nicely done, well done.

Ah, look what just floated by in the gallery...
A very well composed shot of these ruins, with the beautifully lit church building in the background, rising from the ruins. I also particularly like the sun shining into the arched windows of that piece of wall on the right. I'm not sure I like the frame, but the photo is excellent. Perfectly chosen viewpoint.

This must be a very original POV Bev. You have used the ruins of the Priory to frame St Mary's Church very well. The evening light coming in from the side is highlighting parts of the old stones beautifully.
Good advice about the crossings. Just last week a Spanish family got cut off and had to go into one of the towers. While waiting to be rescued they watched their car slowly going under water. Apparently they couldn't speak any English so had not understood about the tides.
Hope you had a successful village show. Did you win anything?

Another stunning shot of the lovely English countryside with the highly details ruins seen in excellent clarity and sharpness.
