Seahouses Harbour:
Built in the 17th century as a fishing port & expanded in the late 19th century to cater for the export of lime and coal. Still a fishing port but it now plays a larger role in the tourism industry as departure point for boat trips to Farne Islands for general sight seeing, bird watching, diving, and fishing etc.

Shot in the Spring of 1984 on film. Scanned from negative. Cleaned & adjusted with PS CS3. I didn't quite like the hardness & sharpness of the water of my previous posting. For this one I reduced the contrast & applied noise reduction with NeatImage and also Gaussian Blur on it. I think a lot of selective & local PP treatment is needed on old an image like this. Regards.

A nice low pov, and I really like the colors. Nice composition and good detail. TFS

hello Latiff

The sky is dark and the shade is a bit of grey but the boats and the harbor make a lovely view of this stylish scene. Probably the color tone has gone through some years of process from 1984 but it is a great shot from old days.

Hi Latiff. Nostalgic image from Spring of the nineteen eighty four registered on film. I was lugging my OM1n during the period of fall nineteen seventy seven until summer of nineteen eighty four in and around this vicinity. Good framing of the two boats in the foreground against the moody British sky. Thanks for sharing and very well done on this scanned image. Best regards. Jusni

Very nice marine! Good composition and POV! Beautiful natural colors and deatils! Lovely place!
TFS, Best regards, Siggi

Latiff,
Your composition and POV are great showing the boats from an angle that gives us a sense of depth. The reflection add a nice sense of depth and balance for the scene. The dark heavy clouds help set a somber mood for the shot.
TFS,
Asa

Hi Latiff,
you may see my contented smile! I like this shot! You did your best then and now for a beautiful picture. A great sky for background, a plenty of elements foreground with wonderful colors. Although the image is quite old the result after scanning is very good my friend!
Thank you!
Regards,
Athanasios.

Hi Latiff,
Ambience and architecture bring Scotland to mind, and it really isn't that far. Those ships look well maintained and have nice colours. Brownish colours have retro feeling, and that suits well with a scan from an 80's picture.

Assalamualaikum Latiff,
a beautiful shot of the harbor. the ripples are great along with the reflections of the two brifgt coloured boats.
Well composed subjcts by allowing the water to control over the shot so as to reduce the cluttered masts and posts.
Lovely capture of the soft sky and natural setting.

regards,
foozi
