Photographer's Note

This is the landscape through which the River Alde in Suffolk flows between Snape and Aldeburgh where it meets the North Sea.This picture is looking down river from the one I placed last week.

Much of it is arable farmland alongside areas of marshland and reeds that you can see here. The river is tidal at this point and offers up as much beauty in its lines and patterns in the silt at low tide as it does at high. With the sun setting over my right shoulder the view down river was beautifully lit.
