Photographer’s Note
For a cold-ish country, people would possibly be surprised at how little snow we get in this neck of the woods. This is one of many shots I took, with obvious delight, during the only snowfall for the last few years.

Great shape, Martin
Very interesting shape left uncovered by snow.
The great contrast of black grill and white snow makes this shot outstanding.
Good shot.

Hello Martin...again.
Very well done graphism here...hard to resist when your seeing your only snow for years. The framing shows the precision of your eye...The square of the grate angled so...the barrel of the fence flaring ever so nicely. Total white out of the snow, but we can see the textures on the edges.
Another excellent shot.
Regards,
Chris.

Hello Martin! Well, this shot is a statement about composition. And it works, it really does. Beautiful graphism! I don't usually write about photos with a good bunch of critiques like this one (as I can hardly add anything new), but I wanted to make clear that IMO this is a great shot :-)
TFS and take care!

M: you have a fine eye for aesthics and graphism - the strength of your work. Great isolation of contrast in this fine canvas. regards, Cal

A simple view, but a nice contrast bettwen the white of the snow and the black of the iron fence arond the tree. The protection plate pierced with holes is probably the most important part of the image since it makes the link between the two elements.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hi Martin,
I saw this in the favorites featured today...what a smart image, very original and creative. One has to have a good eye...
The pristine snow and the saturated dark + patterns make for a superb graphical look. Very good work!
