Photographer’s Note
A fine array of real ales are increasingly on offer in the modern British pub. Hopefully the days of the mass produced lagers are over, to be replaced with beers with wonderful names from small breweries. An added attraction in this establishment is the cheerful smile of an Asian barmaid, so small she is almost lost among the pumps.

hello Martin,
this scene has lots of potential.I like its quirkiness and yet it is a daily life shot too. The little barmaid's arms and hands look at first glance like a piece of modern sculpture rather than living things attached to a real person. They look like those dressing table arm and hand thingies that beads, angles and rings are draped over.It is a pity that we can't see more of the drinker's faces. A connection with them would have made this an extra special shot.Black & white is a good choice.I am swithering whether to give this a one pont smiley but nobody likes gettimg them so I won't. Good try.
best regards,
Bev

Hello Martin. Your photo reminds me of a photo taken in 1948 by Robert Doisneau, entitled "Black and White Café. Also your photo is full of atmosphere and emotion. Really excellent. Best regards, Wolfgang.
