Photographer's Note

Leasowes park was designed by William Shenstone a minor poet. He wanted it to be natural and not formal as many of the gardens at the time were. It has lakes, ponds, cascades and many wild areas. On our last visit we came upon great swathes of wild garlic. It is very close to a large urban area but it is possible to find places to sit and admire without being disturbed by anyone.
