| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
As the Irish might say "a soft day" in Edinburgh, in other words raining well.
This is one of the actors I photographed a couple of days before lying down for publicity - Lying Down on the Job. Today it was too wet to lie down and with no umbrella she was getting a bit bedraggled. I huddled in a doorway to take this. Talking to another of the cast, the publicity had worked as they had sell out performances.
Good luck to them all, they deserve it.
As a side note they were standing beside the recently completed statue of the economist Adam Smith, which was unveiled on Friday 4th July 2008.
To quote from The Adam Smith Institute:- "It is the first major public statue of Adam Smith in the world and represents a long overdue recognition of his achievements.
The statue stands outside St Giles Cathedral on the High Street, known as the Royal Mile. It was created by Alexander Stoddart, Scotland's leading monumental sculptor, and was unveiled by Nobel Laureate Economist Professor Vernon L. Smith." |

Hello Altstair
"A Soft Day", looks pretty wet and these girls are not soft. But, yet a smile for the passers by.
Nice capture, I like the matching yellow gloves to go with her dress.
Regards, Rob.
