Caught in the act of creating beauty....

This street artist was drawing a boy who was posing with his mother in the crowded Royal Mile in Edinburgh yesterday. We were being pulled though the street with the surge of crowd. I saw this lady and her drawing and had to disrupt the crowd movement for 1/200th of a second just to capture this shot. I admire how she could work with such precision with so much going on right behind her. I am sure the result was stunning. definitely a souvenir to take home from the Edinburgh Festival.

Caught in that moment of creating something beautiful.

Nice, quality shot.
Composition, light, focus, all spot on for this sort of shot. Probalby displays the advantages of a relatively large apeture prime lens in such circumstances. (Something I've been considering.)

nice the snapshot of this cartoonist,with the eyes and the nose of the young boy already to exists on his parer.I like the warm afternoon light that falls from the left.Well done.
