Wow, what a crowd, Lars. It's August and I don't see anyone in short sleeves - that's a cold city! Great perspective and fantastic festive mood. Beautiful sunny facades culminating at the tower which makes a nice interplay with the informative totem at right FG. Excellent capture.

I don't think there is much to compare with Edinburgh during the Fringe. The atmosphere in the city is electric and you have conveyed that well. I get the impression there is a street entertainer in the middle of all that crowd. I know there are quite a few plying their trade in the Royal Mile. The evening light is good and you have made excellent use of the perspective in your composition.

Ik zie dat u opnieuw in Schotland was, dit maal voor een festival.
U heeft dit beeld genomen met een zeer snelle sluitertijd wat de diepte scherpte moet voor inboeten.
Maar uw foto geeft een algemeen beeld over hoe het daar was in de straat, een goede weergave van het gebeuren.

a very nice picture. You managed to get a good shot of this crowded place. The people make the shot even more interesting with the tower in the background. Nice colors and excellent shapness. Like the color contrast of the man`s jacket, really an eye catcher!

Une grande animation règne dans ces rues pour le Festival. Ta photo rend bien l'atmosphère de la fête avec cette foule. La composition s'appuie sur la perspective de la rue qui débouche sur une église de belle architecture.

Hi Lars,
I first saw this huge crowd, then i read it is a festival... i thought, wow, that place is crowded!!! That is a fine view down the road, from a POV telling that either you are 2.20m tall,or you climbed on someting, or even just held the camera above the head?... Any how, the framing is good, light and colors obviously too. The church makes a good BG focus point too.

A nice crowded photo. It`s absolutely packed. Wonder how many children get lost in there. :)

generally,I prefer when the streets are less crowdy,but here,this crowd make the photo!Great and impressive atmosphere!You have here the best POV that you could find,just higher than the heads,thus we have the impression to be in the crowd,but we can see very well the depth of the street and see how far the crowd is going!The colours,the light,the sky,the clarity are splendid!Great job!

Hey Lars.

No way, I was walking down the Royal Mile last Saturday evening. Did you see two guys with what looked like up-turned steel drums? They were great but I never got a picture of them! I'm glad you had a good time. This is a very good picture here. The colours are good from the evening sun. You have a very good view over the Royal Mile here. Looks like you were standing on those small pillars, am I right??:-)

Great frame, and an image with great dynamism and activity, although I personally, I try to avoid the crowds. :)

Hoi Lars,
in de eerste plaats : harstikke bedankt voor je bezoek van gisteren (Daydreamin'), het wordt zeer gewaardeerd! Helaas pindakaas, de droom is nu voorbij, ik ben weer thuis na drie fantastische weken in het Zuidwesten van de States and maandag zit ik weer op mijn werk...
Nou, je shot : schitterend kwa belichting, kadrage en compositie, en bovendien barstenvol leven. Je hebt prima gebruik gemaakt van alle aanwezige mogelijkheden, hetgeen tot een beauty van een streetlife shot geleid heeft. Bravo!
Beetje bij beetje zal ik je laatste shots ook bezoeken, ik heb een heleboel "to catch up with", zo te zien.
