[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Cockburn Street in Edinburgh is a little gem for alternative shops and something a little different in the city centre. There was also a small photography gallery there with darkrooms but when I passed the other day during the Edinburgh Festival, it had turned into a book shop...I am hoping its not a permanent change for I wanted to develop some b&w films there at some point.
This busker was at the top of the street just before it meets The Royal Mile where all the "action" was. I bet he was making more money during the festival days than normal. He could play though, and that made me take the shot. Sometimes you pass street musicians and think, no wonder they are playing here, but this guy was talented. Great music pouring over down the street, something that you want to here, not something you have to hear because its there in front of you. I gave the capture a "jazzy" look to keep the "jazzy" feel of the moment.

Hi Paul,
Really a picture of "Sax and the city"! I would have liked to hear him, judging from all the money he has received, he must have been very good.
Greetings from Gothenburg
Gunnar

Hey Paul,
Great capture of this street musician, his sax is really shinny, prepared for the Fringe :)
Regards,
Sneza

Hi Paul,

a very good shot. I like it!
At first glance I thougth the graffiti is disturbing but after having read your note I feel it's important to describe the surroundings.
The one thing to make it a perfect photo might be a little more illumination of the sax-players face. To me it's a pitty you couldn't see his facial features.

Nevertheless an impressing shot,
thanks for sharing,
Oliver

Hi,
Nice shot with a great background and foreground. Frame is really well filled in the composition. Maybe a wee touch of flash may have lifted the shadows just a bit. Thanks.
Dougie.
