Photographer's Note
One of Scotland's best know buildings, Blackrock Cottage is situated between Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe. It looks fairly ordinary and insignificant from the main road, but once framed in the camera's viewfinder with the majesty of Buachaille Etive Mor as backdrop, it takes on a new persona.

This is really amazing. I love it, this photo goes to my favourits!
I have seen very much pictures of beautiful mountains, but the house, which also has cold colours, here adds something extra. The light on the house is beautiful. I only wish there was a bit more contrast on the foreground, and maybe also on the mountains. But still: fantastic work!

Welcome to TE Marion. Beautiful landscape, and lighting for it. Simple but very effective landscape, with the cottage well positioned. In fact I'd never heard of this place before, why is it so well known.

Ce paysage doit être typique car rien ne ressemble à cela près de chez moi. Et cette photo donne l'envie intense de s'y promener. La perspective donne de l'espace qui d'ailleurs n'est pas encombré.
J'adore.

Great work, though... the workshop makes it outstanding. I have seen this place in the Summer under a rainy sky and it gave me the shivers. It looks a lot more engaging under a cover of snow.

Hi Marion,
What a wonderfull picture... I call my wife to show her... She immediately answers : we have the same house in one of our photo albums ! It was in july 1999. Just for fun, and not for its (poor) quality, I scanned it and added it as a workshop...
Thank you for your outstanding picture !

A cracking shot that would be no-one would stop to look at if it wasn't for the Buachaille there! You have managed to capture it well, but Steft's workshop brings out the detail - its worth spending some time on the post-processing to make great pictures even better!
