Does the rope cut the picture up too much? Is the colour too intense?

jude, this could have been a nice photo, but it lacks totally of sharpness and it has no focus at all.
Beside that, welcome to TE
Leonidas

Hello, Jude.

First of all, Welcome to TrekEarth!

I think the composition and the colours in this picture make it look very promising but, as Leonidas says, it is just much too fuzzy and out-of-focus. You should be able to get much sharper pictures from that Nikon CoolPix E4600.

Still, don't be deterred. Someone once asked a person in the street in New York, "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?" to which the reply was, "Practice, my boy, practice!" Well, I thought it was amusing.

Well, Jude, keep posting and let's see more of your work. A wee note telling us a bit more about the place or how you took the photograph is also good and adds interest.

Best Wishes,

John.

Hello Jude and welcome to TE

Even the POV is nice the colour is also promising, however your photo suffers from sharpness. Manual focus?

Use the auto focus, and check your LCD after the shot, if you're not too happy re-shot.

Stelios
