Hello Kari, good weather but cold I imagine, beautiful landscape with a lot of calm and serenity, the colors are adapt to the landscape and the foggy mountain are perfect, my compliments.

Nice photo rare to see a scene from Scotland without rain.

Despite the threatening sky you got good light on the foreground. I like the composition with the stone cottage and the background mountains. I think there is a little noise in the image.
Despite what Vinicio says western Scotland can be quite warm in August. Were you plagued with midges?

You were very lucky. I remember that late August can also mean snow is falling in the highlands. Good catch of light and compo.

Lovely photo, Kari, with beautiful color and light. The house looks so alone and peaceful on that stretch of green, and so dwarfed by the mountain. I like how the image recedes into the mist. Good job.
