Good Morning Everyone,
Today, I am posting a shot which was taken on a recent visit to Morecambe and follows my previous posting.
This simply shows a section of the promenade.
However, I found the curve of the railings, with its complementary curving shadow, a delight to look at.
This area of Morecambe has been substantially renovated in recent years and is an enjoyable place to visit, especially for the photographer!
I have included an Internet link for anyone would like to know more about the area here.
I hope you enjoyed the shot.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of it. Bev :-)

A lovely composition making excellent use of the sensuous curves offered by the railings and their shadows. I also like the very nice light and the lovely tonal palette. Very well seen and executed.

Hi, Bev --
This study in lines and light and curves and shadow certainly engages the eye. You're composition creates a certain mystery and excitement. Looks like a beautiful spot, and we have to wonder what lies around the bend.

You've done an excellent use of shadows. All these curves lead the eye to the beautiful seascape and give an interesting graphical result.
The fine light is pleasant and offer natural soft colours.
A nice composition.

The forms, the shades, the perspective lines are all superb, they add a lot to the mood of the picture. The composition is spectacular, the landscape unfolding beyond the balustrade is beautiful. The depth of the picture is superb likewise. Excellent shot. Have a nice day!

Hello Beveley! Yes the shadow lines are wonderful, it feels like floating around the corner with these lines, nice and easy. It has to be seen ... I always say that, the best gear is not worth much if we have not the eye. You did really well, you found something special most would oversee. Very good ... Best regards, Barbara.

what a beautiful promenade! Your POV works excellently, creating these interesting shadows and lines. I like the gentle colors and the low light of the winter that are contributing to this very nice atmosphere of the seaside. A very attractive image. TFS!

Excellent POV thtat cathes the sweeping curve on this unique bridge.
The lighting is superb rendering these tranquil shadows that nciely comply with the curve.
The colors are right on with excellent sharpness as well.
ChrisJ (117715) 2009-03-25 18:47
The sidelighting provides good repetition of the curved, 's' shaped shadows, which enhance the effect of the linear perspective provided by the curved railing. Good sharpness & colour. Tfs!

Non seulement la route fait sa courbe, mais aussi les ombres de la barrière, superbe image, très bien vu avec le mur de l'autre côteé avec ces formes rondes, amngigique.
bravo et amitié

So many nice curves here. Not only the railing and their shadow but that sculpture thing on the right.I always find images with a graphical elemnt like this particulary pleasing.

I like this shot very much: the "parallel" curves (if only I may use the word "parallel" with regard to "curves" LOL) create dynamism and make this photo unusual. IMHO, the dark shadow in the FG is also a good juxtaposition to the structure on the right.
As far as the image in general is concerned, it's a beautiful landscape! good light management and well balanced colours. I also like the combination of warm FG and the cold BG :)
and have a nice day!

A well conceived picture, and well seen too! I like very much the curvy lines of the fence, the path, the shadows and the broken wall. Looking beyond, there's a nice seascape with gentle hills and clouds, adding great depth to the shot. Extremely pleasing in every way.

Jolies couleurs, bonne netteté et bonne profondeur de champ.

Good composition and excellent chromatisme(sorry for my inghlish!)
Mi piace l'accostamento delle zone cromatiche, belli i marroni con il celeste, perfetta l'inquadratura, gradevole l'ombra della balaustra che disegna la curva della strada.

Hello Beverley, I can see why you were attracted to this spot, the curve of the railings and their shadows are a real eye catcher.
I am fascinated by the irregular shapes on the right;are they showing the outlines of the Cumbrian hills? I can't quite make out the writing.
I remember going to Morecambe on a day trip from primary school and bathing in the outdoor swimming pool, it was freezing!!!
Tfs, regards Jean.

a composition that is slightly different from your other images, graphic and evocative. I like the way you've included the shadow and the complementarity of the curves.

Fantastic glimpse, I like when lines impose upon our glance. Here, the shadows were present and bring some more strength to this very beautiful composition.
Congratulations and best regards
