This was a really great summer in Britain. I have managed to make a lot of local trips discovering plenty of new places. Now the weather is back to normal, cold, rainy, windy, changeable and unpleasant, but nevertheless yesterday I managed to do one more trip using some residual sunshine.

I became a member of Historic Houses Association which gives you entry to a lot of houses, mansions and castles across the country. And that is how I ended up visiting the wonderful Harewood House near Leeds. I believe this may be the first photo of Harewood House on TrekEarth. There are plenty of photos from West Yorkshire on TE but most of them are too artistic to learn anything about the world from them.
Except for this lovely mansion, there is a lot to do on the grounds around the house. There is a variety of gardens, birds collection including penguins and flamingos, playground, boat trips etc. Enough to keep you entertained for a whole day.

I rarely copy and paste the historic note nowadays since it is quite easy to find in Wikipedia for those few who are interested. Hence a more personal note.
