[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Continuing my series of 'from the hip' shots, taken at last Sunday's Oasis gig. This one of another classic rock festival activity, the eating of fast food on the grass. I know that arm TR is a bit distracting, but I cold crop to lose it, and desaturating looked odd.

I am plain nuts about this "series" of yours, Richard. You are maintaining the standard superbly well throughout, the Martin Parr standard, that is. Like what you do with grain as well. Bravo, Francis
ps I'm in the Japanese corporate rugby world today is that's of interest.

Hi Richard,
This is trully daily life (ok so Oasis doenst play daily) but I can imagine that for peoople form faraway coutnries this image is just as exotic. I like the grainy treatment as it feels like a scente out of a movie.
A+
Daniel

Hi Richard

This is a daily life scene, which could easily be found in Australia, too. The grain adds to the mood. Well done!

I enjoyed all that series and the tribute to Isabelle's work. I have to confess that I don't follow her work too closely so I'll definitely go and have a look (and also Torben since he has been mentionned several times in the comments). There is so much to see on TE, and so many different sensitivities! I really enjoy that, it's such a richness.
This one is actually my less favorite of the three, the composition is not so cleverly done and the grain is a bit too much for me here (it looks too "artificial" whereas on the previous it was perfect). However I really congratulate you for all the series, and the great atmosphere that comes through it.

Hi Richard, a great serie - I like the crop and the grain -
Thanks
Gaby

hi richard, love this grain - its amazing how well it works for this image (which i find less attractive as a theme, but it does not matter here - what doeas matter is the light and that lovely noise)
superb;
bw, jerzy

I really like this one Richard - I love the grainy quality and the subject and action is just spot on - i'd use this as a mag illustration if I was doing something about food, the concert or as an incidental image - very nice!

You really are getting into this 'grunge look' good fun and effective too :)

Richard, I just LOVE how people are big in the frame! your pp is great too, although i would burn that arm in the background.
their position, their arms creat some 'lines of forces' that lead the eye to the potatoes :)
i am absolutely curious to know how you felt stealing images.
