Another Saltburn Sunrise, Sufficiently different to the other I think. A differet angle, the sun not directly visible, the ripples on the beach showing, and a bit lighter showing more of the sky.

Finding it hard to say new things about Saltburn which help us learn about the place, so I will just leave you with the photo for now, and if you woudl like to know more, my previous saltburn photos have more information : )

very beautifull colours in the sky, nice POV!

Great atmosphere in this shot.. SUPERB!!
Great work Mark!!
Ciao, Fabio.

Great shot Mark,

You must have been up awfully early to capture this one? I'll have to add it to my Dawn/ Early Morning theme!
The composition here is great. I really like the silhouetted pier jutting out into the ocean, and the ripples in the sand reflecting the beautiful sunrise is the icing on the cake.

I do have a couple tips which I put into a workshop, I hope you may find them of use.

Cheers!
- Dan

Hi Mark,
To continue our communication(if you know what I mean)
This picture has a perfect sunrise in it and a perfect peer in front of it.
The colors are very good specialy in the sky area.
The thing is that in my opinion there is some light issue that has to do either with the calibration of the screen or to do with Post processing which you did or didn’t.

I’ve loaded it to my PC and noticed when I was playing with the levels adjustments that it could be made a bit brighter.
It looks a bit on the dark side (the right side that is) again it could be the time of day and it could be the monitor adjustment

Have a look again.
But the composition and perspective is good
What is that black thing under the peer is it a rock ?

Ishai

Hi Mark, lovely one, this pier seems to be very photogenetic in all circumstances and angles ;-). The silhouetted pier anchors the wonderfuly warm morning hues and gradients in the sky and connects it with the delicious rippling textures of the foreground. Great job, love it!
Regards from Rotterdam, Bert.

Another wonderful shot Mark; lovely wispy clouds in the sky and the texture of the rippled sand raelly adds to it.
I liked this as it was but Dan's WS really makes it zing!

Well I have to say that this is such a very well laid out photo. Excellent lighting and such a still mood. I love mornign photos the best by far. This is nice work Mark.

Hi Mark - nice atmospheric shot. The exposure is perfect. I wonder if you deliberately decided not to frame this one to the 'usual' thirds rule?

Cheers,

Bonjour Mark,
La magie du lever de soleil opère toujours avec autant de bonheur. Encore faut-il savoir cadrer avec soin la composition. Ici, le résultat est tout à fait réussi. Superbes couleurs. Excellent travail, Mark.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Jet another great shot of some very nice colors over the (almost famous) pier :)
I like the way you put in the sand in the foreground. The pier is situated very nicely. But

I think the best part of the shot is the stripe of orange skylight at the left. It gives a nice colorchange to the rest of the composition.
Good job.

another wonderful shot of that beautiful place. I would say that the shot is too dark for my taste but I see the WS that is done has really improved it. I like the colors of the clouds and how they are different in the different parts of the photo. Very well

Hi Mark,
I've missed this but is really good shot. Among all I like this sandy-wavy foreground reflections.

Hello Mark,

I am a fan of the early morning myself, especially by the shore. No offense to Dan, but I think your original version captures the subdued mood of this time of day much more effectively. I know the obsession of so many photographers to bring up colors and brighten and saturate them, but sometimes that winds up detracting from the natural feel of the scene. It is dark in the morning, and the colors are just awakening. Here you have shown well that first subtle glow of light.

Regards, Lisa

Hi Mark,
Your shots of the Saltburn area are enticing me to place the area on my itinerary next year. This composition has great lighting effects, with the reflections in the sand a highlight and the pier angling into the frame in a way that divides sky and foreground. Very well captured. This is great work.

Hi Mark,
Very nice photo, I absolutly love the texture and the light of the floor in the left forground.
The blue tones are very good and also the dark silhouettes are very nice.
Well done. I really can't mention anything negative.
