Photographer’s Note

The London Black Cab, these vehicles and their drivers, have earned the reputation for providing the best taxi service in the world.

Every driver is required to undergo a rigorous test of his knowledge of London which can take up to four years to learn before the coveted badge is awarded. Each individual's character is tested and checks are made regarding any criminal records.

With its shape, design and colours, the London taxi sign posess a Batman flair.

mmmmmm.....such a beautiful blend of colors. I love the depth of field and the resulting lights in the background. You could have polished this TAXI sign before you photographed it as it looks very clean. Well-exposed. Thanks for sharing

Belle idée, très originale. J'aime beaucoup l'arrière plan très coloré. Belle réalisation,à part peut-être le cadre noir qui s'intègre trop dans la photo en bas.

Hier soir, lors d'un repas avec quelques membres de TE Suisse, j'étais assise en face de JY et je lui demandais s'il s'avait où tu étais passé... et voilà que tu réapparaît! :o)
Lorsque j'ai vu la vignette de cette image, j'ai su immédiatement qu'il s'agissait de toi et de ta célèbre série d'enseignes de taxi. Comme les précédentes, c'est très réussi avec un bokeh superbe. J'aime bien la forme arrondie...
Je me réjouis que tu reprennes tes posts réguliers sur ce site.

Olá Andre! I missed you. You come back with one of your trademarks. When I saw the thumbnail I jumped and said "He's back!" :) The bokeh is just amazing. What a combination of colors! The greens/orange/yellows go so well with each other. Compo and definition is really amazing. That 70-200L really makes miracles. Welcome back my friend!

Elle m'a saute a la tete des la vignette celle ci, il n'y en a que toi mais ce genre de photo c'est une signature, on pourrait peut etre meme appeler ca une Inasiajonesade... On retrouve le signe taxi, la bonne mise au point, le bokeh et le kaleidoscope des lumieres de la ville, bon allez pour la N°4 Paris !

Great addition to your series! Wonderful sharpness, and the orange and yellow lights in the background compliment the colors of the taxi sign perfectly. Nice composition, putting this taxi sign at an angle instead of head on.

Good to see you back buddy, was all that time spent in London? You have a fantastic way with colors and this shot does not dissapoint. Nicde crisp yellows to highlight the "TAXI" in the light box...so well done we even get a nice reflection just above. The colored globes beyond make for a nice contrasting background to the dark frame of the "TAXI" light. Very urban feel and good eye for a small atractive detail.

aaahhh, ben faudrait voir pour venir poster un peu plus souvent !
Géniale cette prise, très originale.
Le vert et le jaune/orange se marie très bien, le bokeh est fantastique avec ces gros ronds en arrière plan.

Ah ben! Si ce n'est pas notre Inasiajones national! Si, si, dans mon cas, je peux abuser de l'adjectif "national". ;)
Cher André, bon retour dans le giron trekearthien!
Et pour ce retour, un petit voyage en TAXI qui "flashe" de toutes ses couleurs chaudes. Des pastilles jaunes, oranges ou blanches, se détachant d'un fond superbement vert. Et cette bouche géante entr'ouverte qui nous crie "TAXI"! À moins que ce ne soit un oeil de chat! ;) Ok, ok. Batman d'abord!
Sincèrement André, ils sont beaux tes signes TAXI. Ça réjouit la coloriste en moi!

I see thousands of these everyday but I never thought to photograph them, mainly because It would not have occurred to me to be as creative as you have with this image. Exposure perfect, Composition perfect and those out of focus lights, - Brilliant!

Excellent bokeh sur celle-ci, c'est très lumineux. Les lumières de la ville, c'est toujours magique, mais en plus avec une ouverture à f/2.8, cela en devient carrément fantasmagorique.
Belel image bien composée.
