Photographer’s Note

This is tinside lido at the hoe in Plymouth England. Tinside Lido is situated on Plymouth Hoe and reopened in 2003 following an extensive renovation. Open throughout the summer months, May to September, the Lido is popular with visitors and students alike. Smeaton's Tower is in the background overlooking Drake Island and Plymouth sound.

Hello Asa, good POV and sharpness.
This is one of my favourite walks when we are staying in Plymouth.
I recently posted a similar shot.
What time of day did you take this as there aren't many people around?

Hi Asa,

I had to look at this for a few moments to figure out what was doing it ... it is the blue railing just leading my eyes through this vibrant green all the way down to the beach ... well composed .. I love the wonderful detail off into the distance. I really like it.

Très bon cadrage valorisant les différents plateaux de cette falaise bénéficiant d'une piscine ouverte à ses pieds.
L'image est très bien construite avec les différents éléments composant la réalisation.
Sujet intéressant, note bien rédigée, image parfaitement présentée.

Beautiful place, good composition. I regret a bit the fence wich is get out of the frame, but this is a light detail. Well done.

I agree with jmcl, the blue was what got me. I was intrigued how the blue made my eye travel throughout the photo. Then I read the other critiques, to find the exact feeling I got. Well done. Rodney

Very good view of the Hoe with lots to see and linger over. Well balanced composition with the lighthouse on one side and the curve of the quayside on the other. Some nice muted colours under the dullish sky and good clarity.

this is a beautiful place with the trees around the Lido. I like the way you opened that one to us with good colours. I see the weather was not the best, we had hot summer that time in Germany. Is that the reason for the bit less people?
