No, I am not standing in mid-air. The Rock of Gibraltar has three peaks, and I'm standing on the middle one, looking to the southern peak and beyond it to Africa's Rif Mountains. This is the Strait of Gibraltar, the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. The UK captured the Rock (with Dutch help) in the War of the Spanish Succession in 1704 and took permanent possession under the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713. Spain wants it back, of course, but while it has made moves to recover it in the past, relations these days are cordial.

Technical: Cropping to move the horizon away from the center. A bit of Levels and Curves to adjust the light.

Hi Daniel,
Well chosen point of view resulting with quite an impressive view! Interesting combination of rocks on one side and green vegetation on the other side makes a nice contrast with city in the background.
I do have a certain feeling that the horizon line is not straight here.

Hi Daniel !
I've never been to Gibraltar yet but that view gives me will to get there. It must be a wonderful POV. I guess the mountain on the background is Africa. Good stuff.
Regards.
