Hello Geof..They almost look like mapel leaves...like the bed of flowers against the rough stony background..makes a well balanced composition..autumn colours are quite a feast for the eyes.

hello, geof. a beautiful capture. for some time i've been thinking how to efficiently show the gold of the leaves without making the foto to look too mundane and boring. you have done it here. the stone wall texture contrasts the leaf cover well bringing in a certain degree of drama into your composition. i also like how the wall leads the viewers eyes right into the top-right corner of your photo. well seen and beautifully presented. TFS.
