Dawn at Loch Linnhe
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Loch Linnhe is a sea lake ('loch' in Scottish) that is long for about 15 kilometres. At the northeast end lies the Fort William town and it is connected with Loch Eil, at south it ends by joining Firth of Lorne and is connected with Loch Leven on west. It is popular for boat trips and fishing.
Especially during the summer months it is very good spot for capturing setting sun hiding behind surrounding mountains and usually creating nice colours and reflections on water. This photograph was taken near the village called North Ballachulish, it was one of those (not so many) warm summer evenings when it is a real pleasure to enjoy outdoors till very late without feeling cold. It is made of two vertical shots merged together.
P.S. Because of jpeg compression some pixels are visible in top left hand side corner and the colours are slightly oversaturated here because the photo didn't have the colour profile assigned. Please see my workshop for the fixed version. |
