between two worlds

I know I usually complain about the weather in Scotland but not this time. From few days weather in the Highlands of Scotland is unbelivable! No clouds, stars at night, clear blue sky, sunny and really warm days. This area looks so much better in sun light. I missed first two or three sunny days because of work but today I am off and accidentaly woke up before 6 am and decided to catch the first bus from Fort William to Kinlochleven, small village surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was freezing cold in the morning and I was angry at myself I didn't stay in warm bed but everything changed when first rays of morning sun lit the area. Colours were very vibrant and rich and visibility was very good. It was warm like in spring and I'm glad I didn't stay in my bed. I managed to take quite a lot of interesting photographs and really enjoyed being outdoor, just me, my camera, mp3 player, the mountains and... the dog which took my lens cap from my camera bag and lost it forever! grrr... This panorama is created from 6 vertical shots stitched together, its original size is 10000x3550pix @ 300 dpi. It was half past ten and the early sun really boosted the colours of yellow-browny landscape while the other half with Loch Leven stayed in shadow for the rest of the day that's why I called it 'between two worlds' - between the world of light and shadow, colour and gray (winter and spring, cold and warm etc... :-) There is a small white building visible near the middle - it's 'Mamore Lodge Hotel' placed by the famous West Highland Way. Quite amazing location for a hotel!

You make me discover moutains (I mean big moutains) in a place where I never thought there would be some. That's a great surprise.
And as there beautiful and well captured, it's a great pleasure too.
