[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
One day early in the morning during my stay in Loughborough in the old part of the town I discovered this wonderful building.
Firstly I thought it is a castle, but for my surprise I found out that is a Grammar school, the most beautiful grammar school I've ever seen.
No surprise that Brits are traditionalists... they meet tradition in their early school years.
A bit information from Wikipedia:
Loughborough Grammar School (LGS) was founded after Thomas Burton, a prosperous wool merchant from Loughborough, willed money for priests to pray for his soul upon is death in 1495; these priests went on to found the school that would become LGS. The school moved to its present location in 1850, coinciding with the founding of the High School. The school celebrated its quincentenary in 1995, when it was visited by HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Hi Silvia,
yes, a surprise that this is a school. You captured it also in a nice light and very sharp. Great there are also some persons walking in.
Cheers Christian

Hi Silvia,
this is exactly what I love about Britain. They keep the things where they used to be for ages in their original shape. Such beautiful buildings are called a house. Not only Harry Potter was educated in a castle, in Cambridge I was stunned by the "manors" students were accommodated in.
I like your picture and your useful note very much.
Regards
Romana
