[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
View down from the rock of Gibraltar to harbour warehouses, dry tree branch and a seagull, which has selected the best place to have a commanding view.

In the spirit of learning about the world, I tried to find out which species of gull this is. To me it looks like yellow-legged gull (Larus michahellis), but birds really aren't my specialty.

Hello Kari.
An unusual POV, with an amazing forecast and good depth of field.
Well done.
Best regards.
Bobo.

Hehe, certainly the bird's eye view here, Kari. Nice compo with kind of diagonal dividing the nature fg and the more mundane bg down there. I'm not ornithologist either, these guys can even tell you if this is a male of a female... regards, Daniel

Hi Kari.

Nice, nice picture with that seagull
"guarding" the warehouses hehehehe.

Nice POV and idea!

Hi Kari.
Ha, ha, very funny. At first I didn't see the gull and thought that there was nothing special about it, but then I saw the gull and laughed out loud!
To get this photo even better, I think you've could have added a bit of contrast and sharpness.
Thanks for sharing this funny photo.

Per

Original post , perfect focus ,
good shot
bravo réal.

Hi Kari
A daring pov with a touch of humour. Playing with words, I'd say this image has a great depth. I like it very much.

Good morning Kari
Let me pay my compliments for an artistic capture of Gibraltar. The first thing that attracted my attention was the sideline that rqually splits the frame in two. Then the branch of the tree creating a beautiful perspective that leads the eye and the bird watching over, inspecting the area. Finally the beautiful colors and sharp foto, all together composing a great image, beautiful to look at.
Compliments
Argiris

Hi Kari,
great POV, you make us fly over the harbour, even better than the seagull. TFS, Rafa.

Terve kari,
Oh the gulls are back on TE !
It's not too apparent at first glance but I find good you have it detached completely over the greens by contrast.
Have a nice day JY

Kari,
what an spetacular POV! I wonder what f/ and focal lenght you used here. I guess it must have been at least the 200mm or higher judging by the compression element that you got.
The composition that you used is a unique one and definitively gives the feeling of the bird's eye view. Was there any chance to place the bird a little bit more to the right and include the ship that is at the very left side?
Peter

Hi Kari,
Good capture and composition.
It's rathar amazing how the small, compact territory of Gibraltar has room for some wildlife.
F

Impressive point fo view and wel chosen title. With a view like that one, difficult to forget that Gibraltar is at the feet of a small mountain.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Birds aren't my specialty either, but this one makes a good subject here, the warehouses below are not exactly pretty, but have good repetitive geometry.
