[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This stall in the market at Keighley provides a wall of mirrors to reflect the woman split between kitchen and bedroom items from surrounding stalls. Perhaps this illustrates an outdated stereotype of womens' lives in 21st century Britain? - and perhaps not!!
You can decide - and at the same time decide if this is best in B&W or in colour (see WS )
Some of the reflections are not as clear as I would wish, as the mirrors were covered by a plastic film for protection.

hi maggie,a great photograph to unravel, so disjointed i like the reverse imagery, the woman in the centre holds it all together, again good timing. For me colour would be too distracting .thanks tom

Hello Maggie,
nice the result from your effort to transfer it in the B/W format. The reflections on the mirrors i think that are well captured and the woman split is recorded perfect.Informative your note too.

Regards,Danos

Hi Maggie,
very nice to see you trying b/w ! Well done, I seem to see a shift in your subjects, that I enjoy a lot. This is something you could have put under the category humoristic for me:-) Excellent composition, you clicked at the right moment, the mirrors would make for many split personalities! I like the mix of different shapes and the diagonal. The desaturation is well handled with good contrast. The color version has its charm but I prefer this. Lovely.

TFS
Best wishes
Michèle

Hi Maggie, that we can see the lady mirrored makes it more impressive and looks more effective too.
Best wishes.

Hi maggie,

Funny photo of the split woman. I like both versions. I like the idea.

hello Maggie

Mirrors - we use them everyday at home! You have used them here for reflective purpose and on the street. You are very observant on your subject. Nice B&W. Sometimes, by piece close together of the mirrors, you can get a whole view of the person passing by. Well done.

Good morning Maggie
I prefer the B/W version as I think it fits the character of the composition more. Both have a very good POV of course and the contrasts here are very good as well. I really like the different things around reflected in the mirrors
Have a nice day

Hello Maggie,

I do like the originality of your work and the fact that you often use people without it being a static 'portrait'.

This, to me, suggests that people are complex and have more than one face! I think it is a great analogy!

I know most people have plumped for the b&w version, but I prefer the coloured one. It gives more complexity to the whole which exactly reflects people!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Bonsoir Maggie

Amicalement.
