Hello Tom,
This is an interesting picture.
However, if you have a chance to go back there, take care less space at the bottom of the picture and more space over the soldier's head.

Sorry to be late, but I notice this shot only now. Very strange sculpture and for sure it is worth to evidence it on TE. Good choice the central composition to focus the look on this artwork. Perhaps it would have been better with a smaller deep of field to put in the blur the building behind but it should not be easy to realize.
I think the proposal of Estelle is intereting, but it will lead to a different picture. Now it is up to you.
