Another picture of the millpond at Preston Mill, just a short distance from East Linton. The millpond takes water from the River Tyne via the mill lade and acts as a reservoir or "header tank" to supply the water mill nearby.

Again, you can find more detail about this lovely mill, its history and its setting here. The mill and its surrounding properties are now owned and cared for by the National Trust for Scotland and is very well worth a visit.

Picture taken in low early evening sun in April. Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.
