| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Greeting my fellow TrekEarthers!
Here is another picture from the Edinburgh Festival.
I found this situation quite funny. Here is a photographer taking a picture of a street performer. I think it was a D200 or D300 he was using (I don't really know a lot about Nikon, Sorry!). He also had a rather nice looking lens on it (Again, I don't know what it was but it was a big Nikon one!) Anyway, The street performer was up higher and was getting somebody to throw his juggling batons to him. I never spoke to this photographer (Its not because he shoots with a Nikon, honest!) but we both thought this would be a good time to use our rapid fire! It was at this point I felt a bit embarrassed! Up until that point I hadn't really thought about the difference in the rapid fire of the Canon 350d and the Nikon D200/300. The main difference being the fast, sleek drilling sound of his Nikon and the slow, loud clunk of my Canon.
I bet you he was laughing inside.
O well, I may not have as good rapid fire as he does, but at least I had rubbed my sun tan lotion in properly! |

Hello Blair,
Very funny note. I had a good belly laugh, strange looks from my wife though.
I like the sunburnt head.
Very entertaing.
Cheers
Peter
Hi Blair, Amusing note. I almost had the same experience when I was shooting a badminton event...beside me where professional photographers shooting with the big C brand. Anyway, I was shooting with a D2H of NIKON which is shooting at 8 frames per second. And I noticed that their heads where just turning.
Rgds.

Hi Blair,
Haha, funny note. Guess it's a D300, since the two zoom buttons are there - which are one zoom and one other button on the D200.
Hahaha, and a good one about the sun tan lotion! I think I'd opt for a D300 and a slight sunburn hahahaha ;-).
Greetings!
Dennis

Hi Blair,
I realize that I'm late on this one, but I couldn't resist! LOL!! What a note, what a shot. Simply wonderful - I'm smiling from ear to ear and really enjoying it. And yes, the poor Nikon guy could really have used some sun screen!!
Thanks and take care,
Linda
Nice shoot!
As a D200 owner, my vote = Nikon d300
