| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
I was out cycling quite early one morning in May when I decided to stop at a very pretty church to have some breakfast and take a few photographs. While walking around the graveyard I saw in the distance what looked like any other ordinary statue that no longer had its head - nothing very unusual there.
Until it started to move very slowly, then to thrash about and groan quite loudly. To be honest I thought I'd wandered onto the set of a B grade Zombie horror movie and after initially cra##ing myself I approached a little closer.
The moaning and thrashing continued but finally a head emerged. A guy had been sleeping rough on the bench, had tied the neck of his coat to keep himself warm, then in the morning couldn't find his way out. If you look closely you will see that he has his head stuck down the sleeve - hence the mild panic.
I was mightily relieved! |

Hiya Roberto,
this really is a funny picture-(apart from the homeless element of course!)-i could've sat looking at your shot for ages without working out what was happening, until i read your note.
Zombies?-in an English church yard?-as if!!
A great moment Roberto,
Regards,
David
Holy moley! That would have freaked me right out.... I read the note first and then looked at the shot - and I have to say I fell about laughing thinking of you there with your bike eating whatever breakfast you had with you when this ghoul suddenly comes to life! Haha Roberto!! Hope you are well... and didn't cr## too much! Casper :)

aaaaaaaaa-haa-haa-haa-haaaa!!!
That's really funny, Roberto!
It's amazing what one comes across in their daily life
routine...
Pity for that waste bin in front of him, but I recon you
had to be fast on the trigger to capture the moment.
