Hi Derek
Your series from this place looks awesome, I love the hues of blue from this one with the shining moon. Superb work with the smooth water and once again that round beach is just breathtaking. I love the ND grads, mine turned up from the States a few weeks ago, however the weather has been rainy in NZ. Gorgeous work Derek well done.

This is a wonderful picture with a perfect blue hour, this time with the moon light. The composition is stunning and the definition superb. The only minor, minor flaw is the very, very slight horizon tilt to the left (0.3 deg CW).

Another gem from Man O`War bay.As I said in my previous comment...I really like this part of the bay with the "8" shape of the shore.It`s a beautiful place, no matter the time,morning light,middle of the day,late evening...
Wonderful blue hour and to have the moon in the framing is more than beautiful.
Staying around a little bit more,I`ve noticed a quiet big part of vignette,the center is brighter and the extremes ar darker...created by the filter or because you were at 17mm, where well known wide angles creates the vignetting?.
Anyway,it`s a gorgeous seascape/landscape.

Hi Derek.
A wonderful blue hour shot with a quite eerie sort of light, that must be down to the use of the ND filter, I imagine. The little bay is seen superbly from this POV. The blue tones are superb. Great noise free finish to the shot, which is a very good long exposure. I must get a tripod! Really a masterful and very atmospheric photo.

this photo is so beautiful that I don't know how to begin!First,the landscape is superb ,very well enhanced by a great POV,but where the moon makes the difference!Secondly,the blue colours are wonderful,especially this one of the smooth water!I like he texture of the grass on the foreground,and the clarity is really excellent!

Taken from a similar POV as your previous post this too is a wonderful shot. Here you have got more foreground and of course totally different light and colours. I was wondering what was your thinking behind the different exposure choices. ie f22 30 secs when there was more light to f7.1 8 secs for this one. Although there is more depth in the composition on this one I cannot detect any fall down in actual depth of field and I presume you were not worried about wind? I still have a lot to learn so I was wondering if there was a particular reason for the different choices.

Hi Derek,
This is a wonderful image with its super wide view and dreamlike atmosphere. The moonlight on the grass and the rocks creates a slightly eerie, otherworldy effect (brighter than night but cooler than daylight - perhaps something like during an eclipse). I particularly like the beautiful satin texture of the water in the bay.

Hi Derek:

Fabulous blue hour shot. It's hard to think of a better subject for blue hour, and you captured it beautifully. My one suggestion would have been to give a little more breathing room for the shoreline at the left, as it almost looks a little cut off. But that's it. Otherwise this shot is perfect as far as I'm concerned.
