Photographer’s Note
With this photo I'm kind of betraying good old architecture - it's not very usual for me to make such shots!
Anyway, I'm not too disappointed with Canon G9 ability to zoom - photo made with maximum zoom, and still there are something visible of the little thing.

Violet Dropwing (Trithemis annulata) is a species of dragonfly in family Libellulidae. It is found mostly in Africa, but also quite common for Cyprus and Southern Mediterranean. Here are male Trithemis annulata - sitting in the August heat of the Island of Love.
