Photographer’s Note

Hello TE! After the two weeks of being on Island of Love I finally returned - with some nice, nice, nice churches with me!
***
So this is the Church Panagia Chrysopolitissa, Byzantine church built in XIII century over the ruins of the IV-century basilica.
Place are famous because of the Apostle Pavel Pillar which stands there, according to the one of the legends, it's exactly the pillar near which Pavel was flogged by Romans.
Well, whatever the pillar means, church are quite interesting, even if it's quite humble - Byzantic Empire was waning in XIII-XIV century, being not so far from it's downfall in year 1453.
Insides of the church are very dark and humble, also.

I'm really quite happy to be back, you know.
