I didn't connect with this theme before and it is the kind of image which I know would mean so much more if I had - so I have some work to do now!! The architecture is very interesting - the relief work around the door and the door design itself is fascinating.

i am very happy that you are father, it's a important step in the life to get fatherand the mother must be very happy too.
concerning your photo, even if i like the colours , i am not sure about the way how you framed it, i am talking about truks which hide the beautiful door,
but this is my own feeling.

A beautiful scene made extraordinary and evocative by your use of this play of light and shadow .. the gradients of reds .. the depth of the trees and windows .. the limited palette amplifies the texture almost in the same way as a black and white.

This is a beautiful capture, well framed and presented, the use of the shadows on the tress gives it that extra DOF, well done. I recently posted a photo of an old set of doors taken during my visit to Iran a few weeks ago. It was my mother who told me that old houses/doors used to have two door knockers (seen in your photo too) one was used by the ladies the other by men, they each had a different sound to inform the owner of the the gust's gender! very interesting in my opinion.
