The Shahyad Tower in Tehran which Planned and finished in 1971 as a gateway marker for the city center.
Total costs 180 millions Rls (at that time about 2.6 millions US $) from remainder budget of ceremonies for 2500 years Kingdom of Iran.
The 58 m white marble tower sits in Azadi Square and is the landmark of Tehran. At the top is a lookout point and in the underground are different exhibitions and museums. |

I've looked at the Shahyad Tower mini-series, all from a different and interesting approach. I like this one too, showing nicely its shape and lines providing a graphical impact.

Hi Bahram beautiful details, color, POV and DOF with this one. Thank you for showing us this piece of architecture. From your note I can say I didn't know Iran was so keen on modern architecture. I always imagined the country to be full of minarets old fashioned buildings. Good to see it is not only that!
