Now friend, that is a shot. Here I appreciate the lack of note. The flag flying behind the barbed wire and fence really convey the feelings of so many about this debacle...very emotional to look at.
Now some technical notes. The play between the two contrasting diagonals, represented by the wire/fence and the flag, really show a great compositional sense. Nice saturation...great shot all around.

I agree, no note is needed with this shot.
One of those photos that is symbolic and I'm sure will mean many different things to many different people.

its interesting how the flag does not have the allah akbar writing. i love how the barbed wire and cage fill the picture and srround the flag. iraq is going thru excatly what you are shown.
