Hi David, hey man, you keep this fantastic shot 7 days for urself before posting? Very sharp (it's amazing to see those scratches on the floor), very efficient exposure (esp. so we can see the expression of the eyes in the shadow), superb body stretched in action (very important you caught the right shoe back there too), very strong frontal angle... u waiting already for the Czech girls, I suppose... Hi David,
It will be my 100th favorite picture added.
As a tennis lover, i can't resist to this shot, not only because of sharapova's shape, of course that counts !! ;-) but also for all you got in that shot, the action, the speedness and attitude of her, the sharpness and precision of crop.
This is a masterpiece and i particularly love how you got her just on the green court as pattern, no people, nothing to disturb.
Even at 1/800 sec you can feel the speedness of the ball ... I played this week end with a "-3/6" classified woman, far under professionnal level but it's amazing how with a little body they can hit the ball so strong !

Her leap is as graceful as a ballet dancer and you have captured this moment perfectly. The blur of the speeding makes the shot even more dynmaic.

This has it all David - a wonderfully frozen take on MS with perfect timing at full stretch - that foot about to land, the outstretched arms, her expression, the shaping of the body even down to the hair flying - and then of course the ball at 1/800 still a blur - a favourite too of this year.
