This is the remains of an ancient Roman quarry in the southern part of mount carmel.
While driving, this looks like a geological formation, but a closer look will reveal that those cube markings on the rocks are man made.
It was last use during the Roman occupation of this region (now Israel) for buildings and aqueducts. |
